Sprite had a very busy 4th of July. We hosted our first house party since her arrival. Ben and I were both expecting our usual frenzied panic of preparation but instead things seemed much more relaxed. I think having Sprite around really made it easier to let go of some of the unimportant things and just enjoy the day. Everyone came over - suffered through the oppressive heat - and enjoyed a fun day. My obsession with hamburgers continued and Ben made sliders. They are great because you can eat more than one and not feel like pig :)
We walked over to the golf course to watch the fireworks (is it me or does that walk get longer and hotter every year?), Observed some of our quirky Lake Worth neighboors, and enjoyed the 3 firework shows we can see from our favorite spot. Sprite loved the fireworks, but had a hard time going to sleep after all of that excitement.
