Having two kids is hard! You think you know what you are doing with this whole parenting thing and then it feels like you are starting all over again. I really leaned on friends who recently had their second for practical real life advice.
The best piece of advice I got was about how to get two kids in and out of the car. Something you never realize will be hard but is and could result in disaster if done wrong. So if you have a toddler the rule is that they are the first in and the last out. The baby will stay exactly where you put them but the toddler can and will move. So get them buckled into the carseat first and then deal with the baby. And when getting out keep them buckled in until the last possible second'
This has saved me more than once and has almost become myantra. I chant it to myself every time I go anywhere. First in, last out. First in, last out.
